Safa Hawa gives users current information about the air quality of Kathmandu from different locations. It also notifies the user when the air quality gets worse and provides reminder of preventive measures to be taken. Safa Hawa is a mobile application which provides detailed information about air quality on an hourly basis.
This project is the initiative of the US Department of State, the US Embassy to Nepal and Bidhee Pvt. Ltd. The main aim of this mobile application is to make users aware of air pollution and who is liable for this pollution. In provides detailed information about the times on which air pollution index is highest and its effect on our health. Moreover, its main aim is to make people and government aware about the quality of the air we are inhaling every day in different locations at different times.
Our target is to provide information on air quality at most places where there is high urbanization and highest number of people residing per square kilometer. In the future we will attempt to provide air quality indexes of places all over Nepal.
