“The Morning Begins with Harmful AQI of 130 in Butwal”
6 AM in Butwal
This image represents the morning view from Butwal of 14th June with the AQI of 130.
The air quality is worse from the very beginning of the day.
The chure hills are barely visible due to haze, buildings are blurry and visibility is down to lowest in the early morning.
Most importantly, the sun rises at mid sky due to thick layer of haze which covers upto mid sky, making a shield around us.
The devastating beginning foreshadows how unhealthy the day could be. AQI of morning air being 130 is matter of concern.
This air quality is considered unsafe for sensitive groups.
But the morning time is the prime time for morning walk, exercise and jugging for many people expecting healthy lifestyle.
Most of the people doing morning walk and exercise in open gyms are elderly people and people suffering from diseases.
The walk out expecting improvement in health but unknowingly they are exposed to more danger and serious threat.
The air contains 47.3 μ g/m³, which is roughly 8 times more than the standard considered safe by WHO.
We start breathing PM2.5 instead of O2 from the early morning.
The air quality raises day by day and keep getting worse each day.
This kind of opening of day oftentimes ends up with AQI of nearly 200 by end of the day.
This devastating beginning of the day is a serious concern for all of us.
This makes us put mask on while leaving the bed.
This is a really bad trailer of the day.
