A Mirror of our Air
Every day, thousands of vehicles pass this road.
Invisible particles from exhaust emissions, construction activities, and road dust settle silently onto surfaces around us.
This convex mirror, installed to improve road safety, has become an unintended record of that pollution. Its clouded surface is more than accumulated dirt.
It is evidence of the air quality that surrounds commuters, pedestrians, and nearby residents.
What gathers on this mirror over weeks and months is a visible reminder of what often remains unseen in the atmosphere. Now, the major question remains: If so much dust can build up on a roadside mirror, imagine how much of it is in the air we breathe every day?
