Air pollution

This scene reflects the reality faced by many residents every day—commuting through polluted roads, dust, and toxic emissions while trying to protect themselves from the harmful air.

Respiratory illnesses are increasing across the Valley, yet people continue their daily journeys under the same polluted sky.

"Around 1,000 patients, mostly suffering from respiratory problems, visit the out-patient department of our hospital for treatment," said Dr Yuba Nidhi Basaula, director at the Sukraraj Tropical and Infectious Disease Hospital.
