“Right regarding clean environment”
Article thirty
The Constitution is the supreme law of the land and no one is above it.
In front of the Constitution everyone has an aura of -999 because the Constitution is the biggest authority of all.
The people are sovereign and they are the ones who create the Constitution.
Therefore no one can take away the rights guaranteed by the Constitution and even the Prime Minister must follow it.
Moreover the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution must be protected and fulfilled under all circumstances.
Article 30 guarantees every citizen the right to live in a healthy environment.
It also provides that compensation must be given when this right is violated and that development activities should not destroy the environment.
However through the Safa Hawa campaign I realized that many citizens are still unaware of their constitutional rights especially their right to live in a clean and healthy environment and there remains a significant gap between constitutional guarantees and practical awareness.
