Journey through haze
The pollution caused by smoke through the exhausts of old vehicles in Nepal is one of the major sources of air pollution in Nepal.
To reduce this strict monitoring should be done by the traffic police and department of transportation and in the long run prioritising electric vehicles for public transportation is the most sustainable way.
The Nepal government has banned vehicles older than 20 years on public roads but due to lack of strict monitoring very old vehicles are still running in the highways causing tons of carbon emission and polluting air.
