Without strict law Agriculture pollution can't reduce

Rupandehi, Lumbini ProvinceJun 2026

Rigid law needed

Human beings are naturally driven by self-interest and convenience, and they often act in ways that can cause harm if there are no legal restrictions, which is why laws are created to prevent activities that produce negative consequences.

Agricultural waste burning is one of the most serious environmental problems affecting all living beings, and human activity is the main cause of since a person can act freely unless prohibited by law, the absence of a clear and specific legal provision strictly banning waste burning allows this harmful practice to continue.

agricultural waste burning should be strictly prohibited and treated as a criminal offense rather than a civil matter, as this could be an effective legal solution to control it.

History shows that practices like sati and child marriage were once considered normal in society but were eliminated through strict legal prohibition, and similarly agricultural waste burning, which is highly harmful to health, environment, and biodiversity, should also be controlled through strong and enforceable laws.
