“Safa tempo has been of the greatest example for EV in the history of Nepal.”
Story of Safa Tempo
In the crowded streets of Kathmandu during the 1990s, maybe smoke from diesel vehicles filled the air posing a serious threat which is why Nepal planned a cleaner solution.
In 1993, the Safa Tempo an electric three-wheeler was introduced.
It was more than just a vehicle it became a symbol of hope.
Powered by electricity instead of diesel it reduced air pollution, created jobs and transformed public transportation.
While many countries still relied on fossil fuels Nepal became a global pioneer in electric public transport. Even today the Safa Tempo stands as a reminder that small innovations can create lasting change for a cleaner and healthier future.
