“Finding better alternatives!!”
Switch to EV
This is the black smoke pollution released by buses and vans that run on petrol and diesel in Kathmandu.
Every time we step out of our homes, we are forced to breathe heavily polluted air that badly affects our lungs and overall health. I am also one of the victims of air pollution.
Whenever I go outside, I suffer from severe allergies and skin rashes because of the smoke emitted by these vehicles. At present, the price of petrol in Kathmandu is around NPR 217 per litre, while diesel costs around NPR 225 per litre.
People use such expensive fuels and rarely give their vehicles for servicing.
Why not switch to electric vehicles (EVs)? EVs are a much better alternative.
They can help reduce air pollution, protect public health, and decrease our dependence on costly petrol and diesel.
By promoting EVs, we can move towards a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Kathmandu where people can breathe fresh air without fear of pollution-related diseases.
