“100% Safe Air to Breathe Still Exists”
Untouched By Pollution
After spending most of my time in Kathmandu, where air pollution is a daily concern, learning about Rara Lake's air quality feels refreshing.
Rara is known for its crystal-clear air, with its Air Quality Index (AQI) usually remaining in the "Good" to "Excellent" range. Located deep within Rara National Park at an altitude of 2,990 meters, the area remains largely untouched by industrial pollution and heavy traffic.
It serves as a reminder that clean air still exists in Nepal and that breathing fresh air should not be a luxury. Sometimes, places like Rara remind us of what we are missing and why protecting our environment matters.
